Baruch – Blessing … when we think of blessings our thoughts usually move straight to the ways that we have been blessed, or sometimes to the ways that we hope to be blessed. Unfortunatley, this is the way that the world has taught us to think. Ourselves first.

Maybe we need a perspective shift. Many Hebrew prayers either begin or end with the phrase “baruch ata Adonai”. Blessed are you Lord! Perhaps we should take this as an example and disciple ourselves to bless God and others first, before we even entertain the notion of being blessed ourselves.

What are some ways that we can make this change? What are some disciplines we can employ? Please share your thoughts below!
